Yesterday we sat down with our friends in the Diabetes and Endocrinology program to hear research insights from our renowned scientists, David Maahs, MD, PhD, and Anna L. Gloyn, DPhil. During the program, we learned about how precision medicine and new innovations at Stanford will help lead the field of Diabetes research and better treatments for families including:
- We hired Diabetes Educators for the New Onset Diabetes program for newly diagnosed patients and their families.
- We were thrilled to see our efforts recognized by US News and World Report’s annual ranking of the nation’s best children’s hospitals, with a #9 ranking in Diabetes and Endocrinology.
- We recruited basic scientists to the research program to push new areas of discovery such as fast-acting insulin and genomic analysis of patients with diabetes.
