Since 2006, Medtronic has generously given more than $450,000 to Stanford University School of Medicine in support of Heart Failure and Electrophysiology Fellowships, the Pediatric Cardiology Fellows Bootcamp, and the International Pediatric VAD and Heart Failure Summit. In 2018, Medtronic’s MITG, Respiratory and Monitoring Solutions and Gastrointestinal and Hepatology division in Sunnyvale became the inaugural VIP Breakfast Sponsor of the annual Summer Scamper benefiting Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford. In addition, this dedicated office of Medtronic employees donated activity kits and hygiene kits, which were distributed to patients and families at our hospital and clinics.

In June 2018, our Summer Scamper Patient Hero Koen and his family visited the Medtronic office in Sunnyvale to speak about the impact of Medtronic’s Scamper sponsorship and to thank them for their many contributions. Medtronic representatives and their family members then joined us on Scamper race day to celebrate the wonderful community event and support patients and families at Packard Children’s. We look forward to the Medtronic team joining us once again at the 9th annual Summer Scamper on June 23, 2019.
