Having a child in the hospital can be especially difficult during the holidays. Thanks to you, every single family in our care got a special holiday surprise! Over 180 Champions for Children hosted toy drives to bring some joy to our patients. Together, we collected enough toys to fill 250 wagons! Think of all the trips we had to do. We are incredibly grateful for the 150 gift cards for our older patients as well. Plus, our Virtual Toy Drive raised $17,101 for the Fun Fund, allowing child life specialists to pick the perfect toy for each patient and keep the fun rolling all year.
We want to give an extra special thank you to Mix106 radio station for hosting our first on-air toy drive. They collected over $5,000 worth of toys and gifts for our patients and their siblings. Thank you all for tuning in to listen to stories from our patients and staff, and for donating toys, games, and gift cards!
