How You Can Help

Once again, Stanford students joined together to shake, shimmy, and strut—all to make a difference for the patients and families in our care! In February (pre-social distancing!), the annual 12-hour dance-a-thon raised more than $66,000 for the Children’s Fund, supporting extraordinary care for children and expectant mothers, research grants, and family and community services at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford. The students were joined by the night’s VIPs: Packard Children’s Patient Heroes Athena, 16, and Wesley, 4.
Since its founding in 2005, Stanford University Dance Marathon, one of the Bay Area’s largest student-run philanthropic event, has raised more than $1 million for charities around the world. “The Stanford DM community is brought together each year by its shared commitment to families at the hospital,” say event chairs, Conrad Safranek and Baylee Bakkila. “This connection to a hospital on our campus grounds our event and brings energy that unites campus for a music-filled day of dancing and celebration.”
Thank you, Stanford students, for supporting our patients, and to everyone who helped make their fundraiser a success!
