Joy Of Volunteering
In 2013, the Association of Auxiliaries launched new Affiliate organizations that engage auxiliary and community members in providing direct service for patients and families across many hospital departments. We encourage you to participate in one of these affiliates’ efforts.
The Packard Pantry
A joint venture between Association of Auxiliaries for Children and the Second Harvest Food Bank to pack and distribute food bags to patient families identified by Social Services as needing critical food assistance.
Dec My Room
A Dec My Room group has been established as an affiliate of the Association of Auxiliaries. The program serves children in the hospital for a prolonged stay of at least 21 days. Children are recommended by Child Life Specialists, then volunteers source, prepare, and install items that complement the individual likes and interests of the child. These items are for them to enjoy during their stay and take home when they leave. The goal is to create a cozier, more personalized hospital room that is filled with things that the patient will find comforting during their stay. The program runs on charitable donations and volunteer support. Donate today on our Champions Page.
Teen Health Van
Donates toiletry kits, clothing, backpacks, and more to young people who are seen by Teen Health Van staff who provide free medical services to patients in need.

Hearts and Hands

These Items are made by individuals, auxiliary members and community groups all working to brighten the lives of the patients during their stay at LPCH. If you knit, crochet or sew, please join us in giving joy and comfort to the children. We accept donations of gift cards to fabric stores and new fabrics (100 percent cotton, 100 percent cotton flannel and fleece) in child-friendly prints.
Hosts an annual Beer and Brats fundraising event to support special projects at the hospital.
