Affiliates Service Organizations
In addition to the seven Auxiliaries, there are a wide variety of volunteer opportunities available across the six Affiliate organizations.
Dec My Room
Dec My Room is a national program serving children who have prolonged stays in the hospital and we are proud to have a chapter to support patients at Packard Children’s. Our goal is to create a cozy and personalized hospital room that is filled with the child’s favorite things. The patient chooses a theme for their room—and our volunteers purchase items and decorate. When the child leaves the hospital they can take the items home!
Friends of Packard
The Friends of Packard Affiliate hosts an annual fundraising event to support a special project at the hospital. In 2020 they hosted the Leap into Luck with Lucile Poker Tournament. To find out about future events, email FriendsAffiliate@lpfch.org.
Mobile Adolescent Health Services (Teen Health Van)
Known as the “Teen Health Van,” this service is a mobile community program that serves youth in San Mateo, San Francisco, and Santa Clara counties. The program provides free medical services to children at schools and community locations.

Hearts and Hands
Volunteers for Hearts and Hands make items that provide comfort and care to brighten the lives of patients during their stay at Packard Children’s.
Due to COVID-19, the hospital is not accepting hand-made items at this time. We will provide an update when donations resume.
